Description:
Maleic Anhydride is a colorless or white solid with an acrid odor. It is used to manufacture unsaturated polyester for boats, trucks, autos, buildings, piping, and electrical goods and also in coatings, medicine, surfactants, and plastic additives. Maleic Anhydride is also used to prepare copolymers and pesticides and in Diels-Alder syntheses. Maleic Anhydride is employed as an ingredient for the production of 1,4-butanediol and tetrahydrofuran.
