Capric Acid (also known as Decanoic Acid) is a saturated fatty acid. It is a white crystalline solid with a sweaty, unpleasant smell. It is used to manufacture esters for artificial fruit flavors and perfumes. Capric Acid also has applications in lubricants, greases, rubber, dyes, plastics, food additives, and pharmaceuticals.
