Glycerine 99.7% USP Kosher - Organic Certified
Did you know that USDA organic regulations for glycerine will be changing December 31st, 2019?
This will change the classification of glycerine under the USDA organic regulations. More specifically, glycerine will no longer be classified as an allowed synthetic substance and will instead be an agricultural product that must be organic unless such organic products are not commercially available. With the recent growth in the supply of organic glycerine globally – such supply is available today and therefore non-organic glycerine will no longer be acceptable use for in organic certified end products.
As this rule applies to both “organic” and “made with organic” products - it will have a major impact on many organic formulations containing glycerine around the world- but have no fear! Rierden Chemical is proud to be a pioneer in the organic certified glycerine market.
While we have been active in all grades of food-grade glycerine for decades, we got our start in the organic certified glycerine market back in 2016.
With a smaller farm based agricultural industry conducive to the growing of organic seeds, the majority of Organic Certified Glycerine today comes out of India.
Feedstock oils used to produce the organic certified glycerine vary – from soybean to rapeseed to castor to flaxseed.
Rierden Chemical imports organic certified glycerine from several Indian producers and we keep sizeable drum & tote inventory in our Chicago & New Jersey warehouses to service our customers.
All of our organic certified glycerine will meet these criteria:
- NOP Organic Certified (National Organic Program)
- Meets current USP Monograph
- Hydrolysis Derived
- Kosher & Halal Certified
- FSMA Compliant
